The Transformational Leadership Seminar is a 6-week internship with Youth With A Mission. The TLS is a course that is designed to further train the students in leadership to be able to impact the nations. It is a second level school and you must have completed your Discipleship Training School (DTS) before you can apply. Student will be equipped in leadership, in ways that allow them to lead and teach others to be effective in all domains of society and in cross-cultural missions.

During the course students will not only discover their gifting in leadership, but will provide a platform for them to lead out in it and apply what they have learned.

Developing the leader within:

-    The leader and his personal prayer, devotion and worship lifestyle
-    The leader and his relationship with God
-    Personal accountability and mentoring

The Transformational leader:

TLS Framework

Attendance at Lectures:

Daily prompt attendance in class is expected.  Our scheduled is very full and staring late is not honouring to those on time o to our speakers.  Please make every effort to be in class on time.  If you are ill and unable to attend, please let your small group leader know before class commencement.

Question times:
Student will be encouraged to ask questions during and after lectures times.

Topic discussions:
This will be a panel for students to discus and debate different issues in leadership.

Creative intercession and worship:
Every morning we will have worship or intersection. Students will be given the opportunity to lead these sessions.

Feedback sessions:
Students will be encouraged at all times to give feedback on worship, intercession, lectures and the running of the school.

One on One mentoring:
Each student will be assigned to a staff member for one on one mentoring.

Small Groups:
The purpose of small groups is so that student can work on assignments together as a team. This is also a time for students to get together to discuss the lectures and pray for each other.

Time for ministering to each other:
Each student will be given the opportunity of having group members praying and prophesying over them. The student will also be given the opportunity to minister to fellow students and staff.

Book Reports:
As part of the requirement to pass the TLC course each student will need to read two books during the 6 weeks and do a report on each one.  The reports will be set out in different ways.

Study Periods:
One evening a week will be set aside for you to use as a study night.  This time can be used for lecture review, study, book reports, journaling etc.  This night is to be a “quiet” night and we ask that you be sensitive to each in regards to the noise level.  You will also need to put aside some of your free time to do homework.

Work duties:
Each student will be given an opportunity to choose a work duty to help the everyday running of the base.

Team hang out times:
Times will be provided for students and staff to spend time together. These times are set in place for everybody to be able to interact outside the classroom and get to know each other better.
