Greetings from Mexico City
Team Mexico has been having an amazing time; for the last few days we have been meeting with key leaders and Pastors in the community just connecting with people and setting up times to work with people in the community of Coyoacan. The team is well; we are staying in a Church the people hosting us are amazing. Yesterday we went to the Megacities cooperate gathering; it was so fun meeting with crazy radical YWAMERS. Many of them from the Perth Base; young hungry and keen DTS students who have been working in Mexico testifying of all the salvations and healings that have taken place in Mexico. There has also been unity in the Churches which is Megacities heart; our translator and good friend told us that 3 different Churches came together and worshipped, she said it was powerful. We went out on the streets yesterday with all the Megacities crew; we split up into teams and over 50 people gave their heart to God it was so amazing. Our team is doing well; they want to be here and they are hungry and excited to see people encounter God and to disciple people. We all are missing all of you. Thank you for praying for us. We were shocked yesterday; i met with a man who use to work with Campus crusade, his name is Abraham. He works with street kids; we went down under the bridge with him and walked into a tiny shelter with kids from the of 15 to 21 who were wasted on drugs and were just all dirty. We were all in shock with the conditions that they were living in; Abraham told us that from the day you meet a street kid, statistics say that you have around 5 yrs with them before they die. We went to these kids in the morning because after we leave they will be having their drug hit; the boys went and played basketball with them and after ward Eli shared a word. 3 of them came to Jesus; one young lady who is just 21 years old, we girls surrounded her and prayer for her. I honestly could’t pray because i was just crying thinking, “what is next for her God” We will be meeting with Abraham every Thursday and discipling these kids; they are considered the outcast of society but we know that God has a purpose for them.I love you all.
