Sports is a universal language, a universal love and a way to open up doors. God has blessed many people with talents and abilities to be used to glorify Him. The sports DTS enables just that. It’s a combination of getting to know the heart of God and taking His heart to reach those who don’t know Him through the avenue of sports.

Sports DTS uses sports as a platform to disciple the nations. The school encourages students to allow God to grow them in all areas of their lives: Body, Soul and Spirit.
We also encourage our students to develop a daily discipline of time alone with God, exercise and a healthy diet.
Because of that we have a different weekly schedule including daily sports activities.

The Biblical Core Course at YWAM Sydney Australia helps you build a solid understanding of the Bible, giving you the foundation you need for life and ministry.

BCC is a twelve week course where you:

• learn the inductive Bible study method
• read through the whole Bible
• study every style of literature found in the Bible
• learn how to teach and preach
• practice leading a small group Bible study
• discover creative ways of learning
• get to know God better

Our base is located just 10 minutes from the capital, Port Vila with a beautiful surf beach within walking distance. Vanuatu is only a 2.5 hour flight from the east coast of Australia in the South Pacific.

Doing a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Love Vanuatu isn’t always easy, and you won’t be living in Luxury. But you will be living and learning with the locals, in their culture, and gaining God’s heart for this nation, and indeed all nations! You will be Challenged; You will be Changed!

Costs

The cost for the DTS lecture phase is different for different countries. The costs are as follows:

Category “A” countries, such as Western Europe, North America and Australia and New Zealand, – 300,000 Vatu (click here to see conversion rate)

Category “B” countries, such as Eastern Europe, South America and South Africa – 220,000 Vatu

Category “C” countries, such as Zimbabwe, Philippines, Vanuatu and Paraguay – 150,000 Vatu

This includes tuition, food and accommodation, some recreation and transport.

Note: it does not include travel to and from Love Vanuatu, visa into Vanuatu or health insurance for your time in Vanuatu.

Love Vanuatu

If we are going to reach the Nations with the gospel, it has to be presented in a creative form.  The main focus is on worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth.  This course is designed to help students use their skills professionally and to understand worship to the full.  Students will be composing music, record a CD, and work in the area of event management.

The Transformational Leadership Seminar is a 6-week internship with Youth With A Mission. The TLS is a course that is designed to train up leaders to be able to impact the nations. It is a second level school and you must have completed your Discipleship Training School (DTS) before you can apply. Leaders will be equipped to lead and teach others to be effective in all domains of society and in cross-cultural missions.

As a movement within Youth With A Mission, we seek to work with the body of Christ and invite all to come to the celebration before the throne of God. The God of creation started with a man and a woman in the Garden, and it will end with every tongue, tribe, people and nation in His presence!

Testimony

“Before coming to YWAM Sydney, my life was upside down and inside out. I had no purpose. I was going through each day purposelessly. I was on everything bad under the sun, drinking everyday without fail, smoking weed everyday, taking and selling drugs, partying every night and working in the pub. I always knew God was there, the only thing was I couldn’t approach Him, and the drug life had control over me.

Part of me coming here was to get closer to Jesus, get off the drugs and start fresh. I had a plan. However, Jesus had His plan, and that is the only one to follow for it is the best. I am so thankful for the support I have received from staff, students and friends here at Island Breeze. The first 2 weeks here were the hardest, my body de-toxing, trying to return to normal sleeping patterns, feeling lost, out of place, lonely, loss of identity, but God has been there every step of the way, making me stronger as I put my faith and trust in Him. Praising God with my heart and my soul is an achievement for me, lifting my hands in praise for His name, PRAYING, is something I couldn’t do, especially out aloud. I am finding who I am in Christ, and the journey is not all roses, but I am getting there slowly.

I know I have a purpose now. I love Jesus. I want to share His love with those who don’t know Him and praise God – I am not ashamed to say I love Jesus! If He can take me from the life I had – girls, parties, drinking, drugs, fighting – then why not anybody else! I am not perfect, I still I have my weaknesses, but being a Christian is a daily walk. God is still working with me, and I am loving it. “
